Florida Some More....

Aunt Bea and Mom in Florida.

Four of us by the Condo Lake in Florida.

Beach Combers....

Stingrays were on the edge of the water and moving down the beach. They were a huge mass moving and flapping and jumping as they moved. Julie captured these great pictures!

Here we are the five of us. Aunt Bea, Mom(Donna), Patty, Lynne, Julie . I am here to tell you it was great! Just strolling down the beach looking for.......shells?
As I mentioned on the family sites,,,thanks Patty(the photographer) for the skinny legs!
2 sets of sisters, Mom and 3 daughters and all 5 Mom's journeyed down to Florida over the Mother's Day Weekend. A special time of beach combing and great company!!
I will add photos as soon as I can to this.

Florida May 2007

2 sets of sisters and Mom and 3 daughters and all 5 Moms journyed down to Florida during the Mother's Day weekend. It was a special special time! There was shelling, beachcombing for shark's teeth, river digging for shark's teeth and fossils and Great Company.
We marveled at the cool moss hanging from these trees by the Peace River by Arcadia.

After becoming soaking wet searching for fossils in the Peace River we drove by an orange orchard and took photos to show we were there. The new blossoms coming on smelled so Good!!!
We were seeing large loaded trucks full of oranges on our drives. In one location we saw a parking lot full of the same type of trucks with the oranges waiting for processing. If your orange juice says anything about Arcadia, Florida we saw Your orange juice!!!

By the way if you see my Teva water shoes(see my feet in this photo...) bring them to me! I left them in the park where we last searched for fossils after I changed my shoes....I miss them....

Shark teeth and Oranges

I am in the Peace River searching for fossils with the sifter Dennis and I built. Lucky Dennis is handy. It works just as it is supposed to. The noodle floats attached to the outside keep it above water after shoveling gravel onto the screen. We attach it to us with a rope or we also have a stake to place it into the riverbed so it does not float away.
Here I am sorting shark's teeth and identifying them. See the table with the lineup. We have several books to work with and now that we are home we are working with online sites. We have many other great fossils and are Identifying them also. ( ie horse teeth 3 millions years old etc. ) The University in Gainesville will help you id fossils if you send pictures to them. Such fun!!Come join us!!! I will add more great fossils photos.
